A motorway vignette is again required on the R1 section between Zvolen and Banská Bystrica
Due to an emergency situation in the vicinity of Sliač, the R1 motorway section between Zvolen and Banská Bystrica was temporarily exempted from tolling on Wednesday, 26 November. From the first minutes of today, the R1 section has again been subject to tolling.
National Motorway Company advises motorists intending to use this R1 section from Thursday, 27 November, to travel with a valid motorway vignette. If they have already used the section today, they can purchase a motorway vignette by midnight tonight. This will help them avoid the risk of a fine. National Motorway Company does not seek to penalise motorists; on the contrary, it aims to minimise the number of journeys made without a motorway vignette.
NDS also advises that a motorway vignette is required on the newly opened R2 Kriváň–Mýtna section.
