More than 70,000 motorists have already used new payment methods for motorway vignettes
One of the latest additions is the option to pay for motorway vignettes purchased through online channels using Apple Pay or Google Pay. More than 70,000 motorists have already used these new payment methods.
Three quarters of motorists now use online channels to buy electronic motorway vignettes. “Sales of motorway vignettes through www.eznamka.sk and the eZnamka mobile app are growing. More and more motorists prefer the convenience and speed of buying online, which motivates us to keep improving this service. Our goal is to offer motorists a convenient, fast and seamless way to buy a motorway vignette.” said Peter Braška, Director of IT and Tolling at NDS.
NDS has not forgotten the still sizeable group of motorists who prefer to purchase electronic motorway vignettes in person. Around a quarter of motorists continue to buy motorway vignettes at physical outlets. Earlier this month, NDS issued a public call for electronic motorway vignette sales points and is also working to expand its network of physical outlets.
