The motorway vignette sales network expands to dozens of Slovenská pošta branches
NDS continues to improve the motorway vignette sales system for motorists. “In cooperation with Slovenská pošta, we have included all branches in regional capitals in the physical sales network, where motorists can purchase an electronic motorway vignette. This meets the needs of drivers who prefer buying a vignette in person rather than online,” said Peter Braška, Director of Tolling and IT at NDS. Purchasing motorway vignettes through post offices is free of additional charges.
People with severe disabilities who hold a parking card will also be able to arrange an application for exemption from payment for an electronic motorway vignette at a post office. “Naturally, applicants can continue to submit this application electronically via the form on our website www.eznamka.sk, or send it by post with the required attachments. However, we have many applicants, particularly from older generations, who prefer to apply in person. They can now submit their application in every regional capital at Post Office 1, the main post office,” Braška added. In this case, a handling fee according to the Slovenská pošta price list applies.
“Slovenská pošta today is more than a traditional provider of postal services. We are systematically expanding our portfolio so that we can be an accessible and reliable partner for people in a range of life situations. Our cooperation with NDS also confirms that, through our unique branch network, we can bring public services closer to citizens, especially those who prefer personal contact to online communication,” said Vladislav Kupka, CEO of Slovenská pošta.
NDS again reminds motorists purchasing online that the only official online sales website for motorway vignettes is www.eznamka.sk. NDS does not cooperate with any other online sales channels. Prices on intermediary portals differ from the official ones, and motorists are often charged additional fees. Purchasing through such intermediaries also complicates the complaints process.
Over the past two years, since NDS took direct responsibility for the e-vignette sales system, it has introduced several innovations: a new 1-day motorway vignette, a redesigned website and expanded payment options through Apple Pay and Google Pay, significantly improving customer convenience.
