Brief maintenance of the motorway-vignette sales system scheduled overnight from Wednesday to Thursday

National Motorway Company advises motorists of a brief overnight outage of the electronic motorway-vignette sales system at the turn of 2025 and 2026. The planned technical outage will begin 10 minutes before the end of 2025 and continue through the first half-hour of 2026.

During the outage, motorway vignettes cannot be purchased through the website, app or points of sale. The annual technical outage is necessary for scheduled system maintenance.

National Motorway Company took over the e-vignette sales system in 2024. Since then, NDS has introduced the one-day motorway vignette, refreshed the website design and expanded payment methods by enabling online purchases via Apple Pay and Google Pay, significantly improving customer convenience.

Since January 2025, the rules for purchasing all types of electronic motorway vignettes have also been harmonised. Whereas the start date could previously be deferred by 13 days from the date of purchase, it can now be deferred by up to 60 days. The longer lead time makes planning easier for drivers: they can buy a motorway vignette in advance and tailor its validity to their travel plans.

Motorway-vignette prices remain unchanged for 2026. The 365-day motorway vignette remains €90, the 30-day vignette costs €17.10, the 10-day vignette is available for €10.80 and the one-day motorway vignette costs €8.10. Motorists will therefore continue to pay the same amounts as in 2025. NDS also urges motorists to purchase motorway vignettes exclusively through official channels: it costs less and avoids complications, for example with claims. An electronic motorway vignette can be purchased easily online at www.eznamka.sk or via the eZnamka mobile app. It is also available at petrol stations and information and sales points at motorway border crossings.
